Because WD Tools runs locally on your computer/phone via advanced JavaScript APIs:
- Images & Documents: When you convert an image to WebP, we load the file locally into your browser's RAM and render it locally using HTML Canvas. Your images are never sent or transmitted to any remote servers.
- Input Forms (QR Codes, Hashes): When you input keywords or generate hashes, the hashing and formatting functions run immediately within local JS libraries. No logs of your inputs are saved.
- AI Feature Prompts: For AI-enabled features (like the Article Summarizer and Meta Tag Generator), your text prompts are safely transmitted through our server-side API proxy to get summaries from Google's secure and stable Gemini AI models. No personal info or uploaded files are sent, and the prompt context is used solely to generate standard search results.
2. Cookies & Third-Party Services
We prioritize transparency. While our tools run entirely client-side without registration databases, we use carefully selected third-party partners to support our operating costs:
- Google AdSense: We display non-intrusive ad networks to show general banners. Google may use cookies or web beacons to show contextual or interest-based ads based on your generic browsing history.
- Browser LocalStorage: We save your favorited widgets and recently used tools, persisting them inside your browser's
localStorage. This data stays entirely on your device and can be cleared in your browser settings at any time.
